Hi readers!
I hope that millions of your fellow citizens mobilizing to say No to the Madness this past weekend inspired you the way it inspired me.
In that spirit, I donโt think this needs an introduction:
America is worth fighting for. All of us, together.
May we be worthy of the sacrifices our ancestors made before they handed us the baton.
A few of my videos from the march in Richmond this past weekend:
Our march began on the grounds of the Virginia Capitol building โ designed by Thomas Jefferson.
Felt fitting.
We were extremely proud to see so many older folks there. I know that the Boomers have gotten a bad rap in this horrific Trump era, and it was awesome that yโall were there showing us youngs how itโs done.
Seriously, the Boomers all had their protest gear: tambourines or cow bells, excellent signs, and plenty of water.
It was obvious yโall had done this before.
Speaking of signs, this yellow sign was our favorite of the day:
Having trouble placing the reference?
The Man and I laughed about that sign all afternoon โ and we watched Back to the Future when we got home on Saturday night ๐
And finally โ when Benedict Donald grinds us down and we feel like we canโt go on any longer, remember this:
The people united, can never be defeated.
Cabbages and Kings โ part of Curd Culture โ is a reader supported publication where we have fun discussions on interesting topics.
Thank you for supporting a cheese monger telling my story and sharing my love for Virginiaโs history and wildlife.

Beautiful video! And Ray Charlesโ rendition is absolutely spectacular. Thank you for brightening my day, Holli!
My favorite sign in the protests โ appearing in multiple instances โ is: "So bad even the introverts are here." Good one! ๐
